Especially helpful staff, breakfasts were sensational.
I enjoyed 1 night there. This nice hotel offered an amazing location and air conditioned rooms. Location: the property was right by the mountains, the farms in the area, and all restaurants in town. It also was in the nearby pond: )

The Country House in Calitzdorp was a charming and delightful experience. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a quaint rural style that added to the overall ambiance. I particularly enjoyed the wardrobes, which provided ample storage space for all my belongings. The highlight of my stay was the lovely terrace attached to the room, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.
While there were no major issues during my stay, I did notice that the style of the property was slightly older than the pictures portrayed. This initial surprise gave me a momentary pause, but it quickly faded as I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The location is quiet, secluded, and nestled in the mountains which made for a great romantic getaway. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. We loved sitting on the patio watching the sun set over the mountains, it was the perfect way to relax after a long day. Additionally, we were able to find transportation easily and it was a short drive to all restaurants in the area.
Nothing to complain about at all.

I must say, the decoration of the hotel was simply delightful. The interior was tastefully adorned with elegant furnishings and a warm color scheme that created a cozy atmosphere. The general areas of the hotel were spacious and well-maintained, providing ample space for relaxation and socializing. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff ensured that there were no stairs to navigate, making it easy for me to move around freely without any concerns.
If I had to think of one thing that would have made my stay even better, it would be if the children working there could have been a bit more attentive. While they were friendly, there were moments when their attention seemed to be elsewhere, and I would have appreciated a bit more promptness and assistance when needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel nestled in the beautiful mountains. The location of this place was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the nearby vineyards and the Swartberg mountains. The hotel itself was a custom-built guest lodge, providing enhanced comfort and quality services. The room was delightful, with a very comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed sharing travel experiences with them. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food - the optional evening meal was absolutely delicious and should not be missed. The restaurant served home-cooked meals with generous portions, and both dinner and breakfast were well presented and tasty. this place is the perfect choice for a luxurious and comfortable stay in a beautiful setting.
We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
